Community Involvement

It’s really important to give back to the community in any way you can and I am active in a number of ways throughout the year. Some of the organizations I routinely support include:

  • American Cancer Society (Donor)
  • Big Brothers, Big Sisters (Volunteer)
  • Exelis Action Corps (Volunteer)
  • Fisher House (Donor, Volunteer)
  • Girl Scouts of America (Volunteer)
  • Habitat for Humanity (Volunteer)
  • Home Owners Association (Chair)
  • Points of Light Foundation (Volunteer)
  • United Way (Donor)
  • Wounded Warrior Project (Donor)
  • Wreaths Across America (Volunteer)

In addition to on-going personal and professional development, membership and participation in professional organizations is a great way to stay abreast of changes in business and IT. Currently, I’m involved with:

  • Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
  • Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • PMI DC Chapter
  • Society for Information Management
  • Society of Wild Weasels
